There’s something about this time of year that feels full of possibility. The days are brighter, the energy is higher, and after the long stretch of winter, it’s the perfect moment to start planning fundraising events that bring people together.

Across the country and even around the world our DofE volunteers are embracing this fresh start with creativity, passion, and determination. Every week, we’re inspired by the incredible ways you’re turning ideas into impact.

Here’s just a snapshot of what’s been happening:

Calvin has raised over £800 for our Clean Water & Sanitation projects by walking 5 miles every day on a treadmill showcasing an amazing example of consistency and commitment.

Eduardo has already raised more than £500 through a sponsored run for the same cause, showing how powerful a simple idea can be.

Ava, working towards her Silver Award, has been lending a helping hand in her community through gardening and cleaning. Next, she is in the process of planning a bake sale and non-uniform day to bring people together while raising funds.

Nishara has combined creativity and fun by organising an online Spelling Bee alongside a bake sale, proving that fundraising can be both engaging and educational.

Freya, working towards her Gold Award, has had an incredible year so far hosting an Autumn Disco, running a pin badge sale, organising a Christmas disco and market, and leading a Wear Pink day. 

And we love Joao’s unique idea to raise money by assembling 2,000 bags to safely transport fish in an aquarium, with every pound going directly to support Edukid.

No matter how big or small, every idea matters. Whether you’re organising an event, helping your community, or coming up with something completely original, your efforts are making a real difference.
