The Projects You Will Visit In Uganda
Edukid has been working in Uganda since 2009 to help children access their right to an education. We help support school fees and school resources such as uniforms, stationary and books.
However, access to education is not enough. Additional barriers must be broken down to allow students to thrive. All of the projects we run link directly to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG’s) such as water, gender and sustainable energy. You can read more about our work below.

FAQs about Edukid overseas trips
During your stay in Uganda with Edukid you will be staying in local hotels for the majority of the time. During the visit to the Murchison falls national park you will stay in traditional bandas. Please see our Uganda guide to find out more about the accommodation.
Group sizes on an Edukid overseas trip can range from 15-35 individuals, with Edukid leaders and in-country partners additional.
Extra money will be useful for buying snacks, drinks and any souvenirs you would like. There will be opportunities to visit local markets for shopping. Please see our trip guide or speak to your trip leader for recommendations.

Edukid provides 3 meals a day for all participants on a trip
Breakfast will be provided at the accommodation and will include a buffet of cooked items such as sausages, beans, eggs and potatoes as well as cereals, toast, yoghurts and fruits.
Lunch will be provided by the local schools we visit. The parents and teachers help cook the food and will include traditional Uganda meals. For example beans, rice, potato, matooke and cooked meats.
Evening meals will be provided by the accommodation, which will be a buffet style and will include staple foods in Ugandas as well as western meals.
